Last year, the Government was approached by a Consortium, led by the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children, alongside Cochlear Ltd and Macquarie University, with a proposal to transfer Australian Hearing into non-government ownership.
In last night’s Budget the Government announced that the Consortium has withdrawn its proposal and following consideration, the Government has decided to retain full ownership and control of Australian Hearing.
